We are now in the delayed phase of our response to COVID-19. This entails significant changes to how we identify and manage potential cases of COVID-19. Advice for NHS organisations is now as follows:
1. The public are being advised to stay at home self-isolate for 10 days if develop symptoms OR 14 days if any household develops symptoms without any testing for COVID-19, regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed cases, if they have:
a. A new continuous cough
b. High temperature (of 37.8 degrees centigrade or higher)


c. Loss/change to sense of smell/taste


MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCE. STAY AT HOME AND SAVE LIVES.


Contractual Requirements

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

 

The average pay for GPs working in Oakworth Medical Practice in the last financial year was £91,715 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 1 full time GP and 1 part time GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.

 

This figure excludes medical indemity insurance of around £8,000 per doctor per year and professional and GMC membership of around £800 per doctor per year.
