2015 MORI Poll

Thank you for your feedback on the way our surgery works. We are delighted to say we are once again rated very highly against the whole of West Yorkshire and indeed the UK. Many thanks from all of us here for helping us to work so well together.

Practice Performance

We are pleased to announce that once again we have achieved maximum points in the 2014 Quality and Outcomes framework which assesses how we manage most of the major chronic conditions.

Thank you to all the staff and patients who helped us perform so well. We will keep up the good work. If you do have any suggestions as to how we could improve our service then please let us know, we are always happy to listen.

Automated Arrival

We now have an automated check in system. On arrival you can register yourself as arrived using the touch screen on the right before reception. When your appointment is due your name will appear on the large screen in the waiting room. If you would prefer to use the traditional method of speaking to a receptionist this is still available.

Missed Appointments

Whilst we are generally able to offer you an appointment with the doctor of your choice either on the day or the following day we are dependant on patients attending their appointments. We are increasingly finding a small minority of patients are not attending their appointments. Last month the doctors had a total of 4 hours and 40 minutes of missed appointments. We could have used that to see another 28 patients. Sister Bailey also had a total of 32 missed appointments. If you are not able to attend then please let us know as soon as possible so that your appointment may be given to another patient.

Online Services

We now offer online access to some of our services including making and cancelling appointments, prescription requests, and updating your medical records. To use this service you will need a username and password. To protect the confidentiality of your medical record the username and password can only be given to you in person from reception. Please speak to reception if you would like to use this service.

Named Accountable GP

Named Accountable GP

From the 1st of April 2015, the practice is required under the terms of the latest GP contract to allocate all patients a named accountable GP who will be responsible for your overall care. This has been done for all existing patients.

If you were aged over 75 and registered before 01 April 2015 you will have already been allocated a named accountable GP by letter – this named GP will remain the same and will not change.

Patient (under 75 years) registered with the practice before 11th May 2015 accountable GP is Dr C A Walshaw.

Patient (under 75 years) registered with the practice after 11 May 2015 accountable GP is Dr A Green

Please be aware that you may still see any GP of your choice at the surgery and do not have to see your named accountable GP, nor does this mean that you will only be offered appointments with your named GP.
