2015 MORI Poll

Thank you for your feedback on the way our surgery works. We are delighted to say we are once again rated very highly against the whole of West Yorkshire and indeed the UK. Many thanks from all of us here for helping us to work so well together.

Practice Performance

We are pleased to announce that once again we have achieved maximum points in the 2014 Quality and Outcomes framework which assesses how we manage most of the major chronic conditions.

Thank you to all the staff and patients who helped us perform so well. We will keep up the good work. If you do have any suggestions as to how we could improve our service then please let us know, we are always happy to listen.

Automated Arrival

We now have an automated check in system. On arrival you can register yourself as arrived using the touch screen on the right before reception. When your appointment is due your name will appear on the large screen in the waiting room. If you would prefer to use the traditional method of speaking to a receptionist this is still available.

Missed Appointments

Whilst we are generally able to offer you an appointment with the doctor of your choice either on the day or the following day we are dependant on patients attending their appointments. We are increasingly finding a small minority of patients are not attending their appointments. Last month the doctors had a total of 4 hours and 40 minutes of missed appointments. We could have used that to see another 28 patients. Sister Bailey also had a total of 32 missed appointments. If you are not able to attend then please let us know as soon as possible so that your appointment may be given to another patient.

Online Services

We now offer online access to some of our services including making and cancelling appointments, prescription requests, and updating your medical records. To use this service you will need a username and password. To protect the confidentiality of your medical record the username and password can only be given to you in person from reception. Please speak to reception if you would like to use this service.

Travel Information

global air travel

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements.  This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below

Europe Europe & Russia North America North America
Central America Central America South America & Antarctica South America & Antarctica
Caribbean Caribbean Africa Africa
Middle East Middle East Central Asia Central Asia
East Asia East Asia Australasia Australasia and Pacific

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible  - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations.  These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine.  Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge.  This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

Travel Health Questionnaire

To help us offer the appropriate advice, please fill out the online form before coming to see the nurse.
